Fastening material for P and SP gratings
- Gratings must be secured against lifting or slipping off the supporting structure. Each grating must be fixed at a minimum of four points, ideally at the corners.
- Fastening material is supplied by Lichtgitter CZ for all types of gratings and for all commonly supplied and designed types of supporting-structure profiles.
- All fastening elements must be inspected periodically, depending on the conditions of use, and screw connections tightened if necessary.
- Unless stated otherwise, all types of fastening elements, including bolts and nuts, are hot-dip galvanized.
B 133T – Standard fastening element
It consists of a robust bottom part, bolt, nut and plate (clip). It is designed so that, with a mesh size of 33 x 33 mm, it can be installed from above through the grating openings. The standard fastening element is not suitable for environments with vibrations. It is also not suitable for fastening gratings used as stair treads (use is possible if the gratings are secured against shifting).

B 334K – Safety fastening element with locking
This element prevents the grating from slipping off the structure even if the bolted joint is loosened. It is intended for resistance-welded grating with a height of max. 50 mm with the following mesh size:
34 x 38 mm – fastening element B 334K
34 x 50 mm – fastening element B 351K
34 x 24 mm – fastening element B 33424K
Installation from above through the grating openings is only possible for 34 x 38 mm and 34 x 50 mm meshes

B433-TM – Stud fastening element
Enables very fast fastening of the grating. It consists of an electro-galvanized or stainless steel stud with M 8 thread and a special plate with internal thread. It can be used for bearing bar spacings from 25 to 40 mm. Installation is performed with special tools. The fastening element is suitable for environments with vibrations.
Plate versions:
B433-TM – duplex, suitable for outdoor environments
B433-T – electro-galvanized, for indoor environments
B433-TR – stainless steel version, for aggressive environments

B 533 K – Weld-on fastening element
It consists of a special bolt that is butt-welded to the supporting structure, a nut and an upper clip. This fastening provides high safety against slipping and falling of the grating.

B 633K – Safety fastening element with locking
It is intended for pressed gratings with a mesh size of 33 x 33 mm and a height of max. 50 mm. This element prevents the grating from slipping off the supporting structure even if the bolted joint loosens. Installation from above through the grating openings is possible.

B 733T – Hook-type fastening element
It is intended for fastening a grating to a bearing profile without a bottom flange. For a complete specification, the size and type of the bearing profile must be provided. This element also fixes and locks the grating position.

B 833T – Hook-type fastening element
It is intended for fastening a grating to a bearing profile with a bottom flange. For a complete specification, it is necessary to provide
the size of the bearing profile. This element also fixes and locks the grating position.

B 933T – Double clip
Enables the connection of two adjacent gratings at points where large deflections occur, thereby preventing the formation of so-called “trench edge”. It is applied mainly in places where large shaped cut-outs are made in the gratings.

B10 – Fastening element for gratings with cross rod spacing of 11.11 mm
It consists of the bottom part of the fastening element, a bolt with a flat round head, and a nut. The bolt length is at least the grating height + 40 mm. The fastening element is suitable for a 22×11 mm mesh.

B 13311K – Standard fastening element for gratings with cross rod spacing of 11.11 mm
It consists of the bottom part of the fastening element, the upper clip, a countersunk-head bolt and a nut. The fastening element is suitable for bearing bar spacings of 33.33 mm and larger.

B 270 – Fastening using an anchor plate
It consists of an anchor plate with a hole welded into the grating. Bolts are not included in the delivery.
Especially suitable for drive-over gratings.

Other types of fastening elements are listed in the SP + P manual, which you can find in the Downloads section.
