Fastening material for sheet metal profiles B
- The fastening material is supplied by Lichtgitter CZ for all types of gratings and for all commonly supplied and designed types of load-bearing structure profiles.
- For BZ profiles, the so-called “olive” is used as the upper part of the fastening element, which is seated in the profile eye.
- All screws and nuts are supplied in stainless steel design, or, like the other parts of the fastening material, in hot-dip galvanized finish.
- By bolting sheet metal profiles together (fastening material No. 27 and 29), we achieve a more favorable load distribution and prevent the formation of a trench edge.
- Each individual profile, or profiles bolted into elements wider than 300 mm, must be fastened to the steel structure at a minimum of four points. For widths less than 300 mm, two fastening elements are sufficient.
- All fastening elements must be periodically inspected, depending on the conditions of use, and the bolted joints retightened if necessary.
No. 21 Standard fastening element
It is an element consisting of a bottom part, a countersunk head screw M8x… ISO 2009 (DIN 965), a square nut M8 DIN 557 and, for the BZ profile, the so-called “olive”.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ and BN-O.

No. 22, 23 Hook fastening element
No. 22 is intended for sheet metal profiles placed on beams without a bottom flange (L profile) and consists of a lower hook, a countersunk head screw M8x… ISO 2009 (DIN 965) and, for the BZ profile, the so-called “olive”. The type of beam for which the element is to be used is specified in the order.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ and BN-O.
No. 23 is the same as fastening element No. 22, but for beams with a bottom flange (U profile).

No. 24 Fastening using a spacer profile
It prevents the formation of a trench edge at the profile joint and at the same time ensures a flawless connection of the profile to the load-bearing structure. It consists of a spacer profile, a countersunk head screw M8x… ISO 2009 (DIN 965), alternatively self-tapping countersunk head screws ISO 7050 (DIN 7982), washer 9 DIN 126, nut M8 ISO 7042 (DIN 980).
The fastening element is intended for profile types BN-O and BN-G.

No. 24 Butt joint connector – new
It is used for fastening to the structure at the joint of two profiles, without the need to drill holes into the beam. It consists of two clamps, a threaded bar with three screws M8x … according to ISO 7050 (DIN 7982) and two olives (see element No. 32)
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ and BN-O.

No. 25 Fastening element with an “S” clip
It is an element consisting of an “S”-shaped hook, a countersunk head screw M8x… ISO 2009 (DIN 965) and, for the BZ profile, the so-called “olive”. It is suitable only for beams with flange thickness up to 9 mm.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü and BZ.

No. 26 Direct bolted fastening
It ensures a secure connection to the load-bearing structure; it consists of a countersunk head screw M8x… ISO 2009 (DIN 965), washer 9 DIN 126, nut M8 ISO 7042 (DIN 980) and, for the BZ profile, the so-called “olive”.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ and BN-O.

No. 27 Connecting insert
In the case of unbolted parts, it prevents the formation of a trench edge over large spans and makes it possible to distribute the load. It consists of a connecting element and self-tapping countersunk head screws M5x20 DIN 7516D.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ, BN-O and BN-G.

No. 27 Connecting clamp – new
It prevents different deflection of loaded and unloaded profiles so that a trench edge greater than 4 mm does not occur. It consists of a spring steel clamp.
The fastening element is intended for profile type BZ.

No. 29 Bolted connection
By bolting sheet metal profiles together, we achieve a more favorable load distribution and prevent the formation of a trench edge. It consists of bolt M8x20 ISO 4017 (DIN 933), washer 9 DIN 126 and nut M8 ISO 7042 (DIN 980).
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ, BN-O and BN-G

No. 30 Fastening using an angle bracket
It prevents the sheet metal profile from lifting. It consists of an angle bracket 30/30/3…50 mm long and two self-tapping screws M5x20 DIN 7516D.
The fastening element is intended for profile types BR, BP, BP-Ü, BZ, BN-O and BN-G.

No. 31 Connecting splice plate
It is suitable for connecting individual parts together and for limited load transfer. For this, bolts, washers, nuts and a splice plate with holes adapted to the profile are required.
